Using Back Button autofocus to seamlessly switch between still and action shots.
Since the majority of my clients are horse people I am always looking for better ways to capture tack sharp focus when switching between stationary and action shots. A horse and rider in repose one moment transforms within a few seconds into a horse jumping with rider over the gates. Two very different focus points. I am a Nikon D800 user but this video should be helpful to anyone with a DSLR on experimenting with switching from a normal shutter focus release technique to focusing exclusively using a dedicated button.
