Mother and Daughter enjoying morning at Table Rock
Today, for the first time, I visited Table Rock, thanks to my new friends Barb and Ellen. We all enjoyed the beautiful weather and took a lot of photos of everything except wild flowers -- there were so few wild flowers blooming, unusual for this time of year. I love portraits and could not stop myself from asking a young family if I could take their photos. They were happy to oblige -- I asked the mother to lift up her daughter high enough in order to block the sun behind them. This gave them a lot of light to rim their hair and profiles but also enough backlight to wrap around into their faces. But for me, it was the love shared by mother and daughter that made this my favorite photo of the day.
