Horses need other horses.
Since developing a relationship with horses these past two years... I've notice how many people in the Rogue Valley keep a solitary horse in a field. This is a sin. As my good friend, and owner of the non-profit Warhorse Alliance, Tedi Tate tells me, "The worse thing they can do to you in prison is keep you in solitary confinement, right? .... well, that's what people do to their horses when they leave them all in. Horses need the companionship of other horses. Period."
So my heart quickens whenever I see two or more horses together ... amen.
